ELF Blusher - Gotta Glow £3.75 / MAC MSF - Lightscapade £22 / ELF All Over Colour Stick - Spotlight £1.50 / Benefit High Beam £19.50 / Topshop Glow - Gleam £9
Although March is approaching, we seem to still be stuck in the British winter with storms and gales and no sign of spring. In order to hurry spring and summer up a bit, I have compiled all of my favourite glow giving products to get the fresh faced and dewy look we all want in the warmer months.
I will start off with the two powder highlighters, ELF Blusher in Gotta Glow is a really pretty pale golden highlighter with quite a lot of shimmer. It gives a really nice glow but you do have to be careful that you don't apply too much! It isn't as finely milled as the MAC one, but you can't complain for the price! I've heard it is quite similar to the NARS Albatross highlighter which I really want to try! Next up the MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Lightscapade is definitely a lot more subtle and finely milled. It is so beautiful and can be built up to provide an amazing glow on your cheek bones! I have a full review here.
Next up, the three cream highlighters! Cream highlighters are great for achieving dewy skin without using tons of products and looking incredibly natural. My faves include ELF Colour Stick in Spotlight, Benefit High Beam and Topshop Glow in Gleam. The ELF Colour Stick is a relatively new addition to my make up stash but is certainly a stand out product for me. It isn't glittery or incredibly shimmery but has this amazing glow about it when you apply it to your cheek bones. It's a little difficult to work with at first but you get used to it! I prefer to use my fingers with this as it helps to blend it in a little better than using a brush. Ahhh, my mini Benefit High Beam has been with me for quite a while and is still a firm favourite. As you can see it is almost nearly gone which makes me sad but I'm determined to get a couple more wears out of it before I go and happily splash da cash on a new one ;). It is a pearly pink colour and looks amazing when mixed with foundation or just applied to the high points of your face! I really can't fault this product. Again, I apply this with my fingers to help it blend it beautifully. Last but not least this little Topshop number is perfect for all of you bronze goddesses out there! It's a little different from the rest as it is a golden bronze shade which just warms up your whole complexion! In all honesty, I have neglected this for a while as I am extremely pale and sometimes it looks a little odd on my ghostly skin! When I have a (fake) tan I can imagine this looking great! Summer couldn't come quick enough, ey?! Ooo I also have a full review of this here if you'd like a more in depth review.
I've decided to start posting on specific days to help get into a blogging routine as I feel I have lost my blogging mojo a bit! The days are Monday, Thursday and Saturday!
Thanks for reading, hope you all are having a good start to the week!
