FACE OF THE DAY #8

L'oreal True Match Foundation / Collection Concealer / Bourjois 24 Hour Colour Edition / Benefit Bad Gal / S&G Bronzer / MAC MSF Lightscapade / Clinique Chubby Stick Wopping Watermelon

Yes, I have no eyebrows on. What was I thinking? I was only going to the orthodontist and I went a little cray with my eye make up so I decided to skip brows to tone down the look, but I didn't realise how odd I look haha. Anyway, I have been loving my mini Chubby Stick from Glamour mag and it hasn't left my lips since i got it. So moisturising yet leaves a beautiful colour on the lips! My hair is looking a little bit like a hot mess in these pics, but I was only going to the orthodontist and I doubt she cares ;)

P.S I have gone for a cheeky Instagram filter, it was just another one of those days where you take about 1000+ photos but don't like any of them. You know what I'm talking about. (If you don't then guuurrlllll let me in on yo lil secret.)

Thanks for reading!

Face Of The Day #7

Hello everyone! I thought that this year I would do more FOTDs as I really enjoy reading other peoples and they aren't quite easy to do when you've got bloggers block! I wore this look to the cinema last night to see Devil's Due, where I may have screamed a little lot and spent half the time with my jacket over my face!

Base
MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer 1 Fair, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (not pictured as it is looking a bit worse for wear!), Max Factor Bronzer, MAC MSF in Lightscapade.

I wanted to go for quite a full coverage so I used Studio Fix which is running out and I desparatly need a new one but I can't justify spending another £20 for a foundation that I have such a love hate relationship with! The Lasting Perfection Concealer and Stay Matte Powder are products everyone raves about so I won't go into too much detail! My Mac Factor Bronzer has lasted me forever but I've just recently hit pan :( It is insanely pigmented though and I'm surprised I don't see more of it on the blogosphere. I have a full review of the MAC MSF in Lightscapade so I will link it here.

Eyes
MAC Painterly Paint Pot, No7 Eyeshadow Duo, Sleek Au Naturel Palette, Me Now Brown Eye Pencil, Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil, No 7 Extreme Length Mascara

Firstly I primed my eyes using MACs Painterly Paint Pot (full review here) then, I used my most favourite eyeshadow ever from the No 7 Duo, the top shade. I really want to find a similar one as it such a nice colour! I then used the greeny-olivey shade from the Sleek palette called Moss (the second shade on the second row) in my outer corner and crease. With my Me Now brown eyeliner I lined my lashline, then I applied lashings of mascara! I filled in my brows using my new favourite brow pencil, Soap & Glory's Archery - it's amazing. Although the photo does not give it justice as that day was a bad eyebrow day.

So that is my first FOTD of 2014, I hope you liked it and if you'd like to see more posts like this let me know in the comments! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

fotd #6

mac studio fix foundation / bareminerals neutralising primer / elf cream eyeliner / no7 extreme length mascara / rimmel lipstick in vintage pink / collection lasting perfection concealer / sleek contour kit / soap & glory solar powder bronzer / elf eyebrow kit in ash

Hey guys!

Hope you're all well and having a good start to the week! Today I have a face of the day for you all! I love reading these types of posts and also everyday make up posts too. A couple of weeks ago the #bbloggers chat was about what posts people like/dislike to read, I think people have mixed opinions about FOTDs but I still like them. This FOTD is actually from the weekend, but I've only just managed to write this post.

Base
For my base I used the Bare Minerals Neutralising Primer just to even out my skin a bit, and then I buffed in my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation  with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (it's amazing and dare I say..better than the buffing brush!)  I then went in with Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover my blemishes and redness. I didn't use any powder because Studio Fix Fluid dries to a natural to matte finish, and usually stays in place all day! I then used Soap & Glory's Solar Powder Bronzer on the high points to warm my Casper-like skin up! I then used the Bourjois Round Pot Blush in Rose PomPon as a blush and a subtle highlight.

Eyes
For the eyes, I did something a bit different and actually wore eyeshadow. Yes, eyeshadow. For some of you, eyeshadow may be an everyday staple and find it more shocking when you don't wear eyeshadow. But I never wear it! I've never really delved into the world of eyeshadow (apart from MUA's undressed palette and my mum's old eyeshadows). This probably isn't the best picture to show it as you can barely see it, but I used the highlight from the Sleek Contour Kit all over the lid and then the contour powder in my crease and my lower lash line. This will probably sound weird, using face products on my eyes, but I find they last the longest! I then did a thin line of my ELF Cream Eyeliner to add some definition, and then used some of my No 7 Extreme Length Mascara. Then I filled in my brows with ELF Eyebrow Kit in ash, a really nice cool toned brow kit!

Lips
For my lips I used Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Vintage Pink; a gorgeous purple toned pink! The picture doesn't do it justice! The colour is so pretty ahhhh! I have no idea how to describe the colour but take my word for it, it's so gorgeous!

Thanks for reading, hope you have a good afternoon and evening!

Hey guys!

I hope you're enjoying the bank holiday, I know I am! Today's post is a face of the day. I haven't done many of these and I can't even remember when the last one was, so it's about time I do another one! I don't know about you, but I love face of the day type posts- I love seeing what make up people are using (or am I just a bit nosey?) Anyway, let's get on with the post, because the sun is finally shining and the skies are blue, I've decided to change round a few bits and pieces in my make up routine to look a bit more natural and fresh faced in the sun! I have also been experimenting with my hair a bit more because I want to try out some more styles, although in the picture my hair is just sort of straight (I straightened it a couple of days ago so it isn't as straight as it was) with this gorgeous head band in! I can't remember where I got this headband from but there is a similar version here. I know primark are doing the Lana Del Rey type which I am dying to get! I usually don't do much with my hair and it's usually wavy and frizzy so I like these types of headbands to give my hair a bit of something different!

Products used:
rimmel stay matte powder

Although a rarity, when it's hot and sunny where I live, I like to go foundation free and just wear concealer, which was a complete NO before I found the collection lasting perfection concealer! There is so much buzz surrounding it on the blogosphere, and I for one have also been hyping it up since I got it last autumn. I put it mainly in the center of my face and then blend it out, and then put a little extra on blemishes. I find this is such a good colour match for my skin, better than any foundation I've tried, and covers so well! For my eyebrows, I didn't want to go too heavy so I used the powder in my ELF eyebrow kit in ash blonde (a supposed dupe for omega by mac) and just lightly filled in my brows. I then used the bourjois fan-tastic mascara (review here) for a bit of definition for my poor blonde eyelashes. Then my rimmel stay matte powder which is AMAZING. It's amazing for summer especially because it prevents my skin from becoming shiny all day! Then to finish, my sleek contour kit to add a bit of shape and warmth to my face, which i lack terribly.

Thank you for reading! Hope you enjoyed!

ps. I changed my blog header the other day, what are your thoughts on it?

five product face!

Hey guys!

Hope you're all having a great start to the 4 day weekend (woo hoo!) First of all, I am so sorry for not blogging as much as I normally do. I have been so busy preparing for my spanish oral, which i have in a couple of weeks, but now i am on half term so i shall be able to post more frequently! I've been seeing these types of posts a lot recently, so i thought i'd show you my version of it!

The make up

Products used

revlon photoready foundation
soap and glory solar powder bronzer
bourjois ultra curl mascara
mac eyebrow pencil in lingering
mua eyeshadow palette in undressed

I used revlon's photoready foundation because it gives quite good coverage but is also really glowy. I then used mac's eyebrow pencil in lingering because i hate not filling in my brows, so this was a must! and pencils also save faffing around with a brush! I then used the bourjois ultra curl mascara as it curls and lengthens my lashes in an instant. Then I used MUA's eyeshadow palette in undressed. I suppose this is kind of cheating using a palette but i did only use the highlight shade on my inner corner, cheek bones, brow bone and down my nose, and then the glittery black to line my top lash line! To add a bit more colour to my skin i dusted soap and glory's bronzer on the high points of my face!

If you've done a post like this i'd love to see it, so please comment with it down below! Also, if you'd like to see any particular posts please tell me!

Thanks for reading, see you in my next post!

Face Of The Day

Products: Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation, ELF Gel Eyeliner, No7 Intense Volume Mascara and No7 Extreme Length Mascara, My Favourite Burt's Bees lip balm and Benefit High Beam Blush, from a very old palette and sadly I couldn't find it on the internet, but here is a picture of it:
Eyebrows, the darkest shade from a Primark eyebrow kit, which I also used very lightly to contour:
This is a make up look that I wouldn't wear to school, but I'd wear on the weekends if I was going out with my friends or something. Hope you enjoyed reading! What make up are you wearing today?
