ROSE GOLD DETAILS

Abbott Lyon Rose Gold Watch Ted Bake Rose Gold Earrings Asos
Abbott Lyon Rose Gold Watch Ted Bake Rose Gold Earrings Asos

Rose gold accessories are my absolute jam at the minute. Not only are they really quite festive, but I find they compliment any sort of outfit too! Despite not being a massive jewellery person, these are my favourite throw on pieces to oomph up any outfit and make me feel so much more glam!
I actually received the Abbott & Lyon watch for my 20th Birthday, along with these Ted Baker Rose Gold & Pearl studs. They are both absolutely stunning and just add a little something-something to my everyday jeans and a tee. The little teeny-tiny hoops are from ASOS and retail for a mere £6. They are a little fiddly to put in, especially if you have massive sausage fingers like myself. However, they're deffo worth the struggle as they look so cute!

What are your go to accessories this A/W?

HALLOWEEN

Hey guys!
I know Halloween is over now but I just thought I would share with you my last minute Halloween costume that I wore to a house party on Saturday night. If you couldn't tell already, I went as a clown! I got the inspiration from one of Chrisspy's latest videos and I was very pleased with how it turned out.

I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween... we can now start looking forward to Christmas!! (too soon?)

NEW BOOTS

I've been in need of a good pair of boots for what seems like an eternity so I made the most of the 20% off student discount at ASOS. These Roxy Chelsea Boots were just what I was looking for as they have a chunky heel that add a little bit of height and have got me up to 5'5" (not quite VS model worthy but I'll take it). Despite the mini heel, they are still very comfy and I would happily wear them everyday if I wanted to.They have sort of a rubbery material to them which does mean that any marks/scuffs can show up on them quite easily. They're black so they go with basically everything in my wardrobe! I think these will be perfect for smart-casual house parties sort of thang, but also for when I'm just running errands or shopping. They are only £35 (£27 with discount) which I think is an absolute bargain, I would definitely snap them up quickly if you want them!

I've seen a few people with these boots in sixth form but I'm not too bothered as I'm only planning on wearing them out on the weekends.

Do you like these boots?

WINTERY OUTFIT

Winter

Just a quick fashion post via Polyvore

I thought it was about time I ought to do a fashion post as I rarely do them on my blog nowadays. This is just an outfit incorporating various items that I have been loving and that are appropriate for the dreary weather we're having at the mo! I have also included some beauty bits - how gorge is that Nars lipgloss?! Also, some music I've been loving, I feel as though I've rediscovered and refallen (?) in love with The Weeknd since hearing his contribution to the 50 Shades soundtrack, Earned It - go give it a listen!

mono by olivia-kiernan featuring a black shirt

Hey guys! So I've just joined Polyvore and I've really been enjoying using it and creating outfits. It's a really good website for seeing how items work together. Also it notifies you when an item you've liked is in the sale which is always great as you can snap it before it goes out of stock!
I would love it if you could leave your links down below as I'd love to check out some of the looks you have created.

Thank you

Topshop Month Chelsea Boots

I have been meaning to write this post for ages now but just haven't got round to it until now! I thought I'd share the winter boots that I've been wearing for a good few months and think I shall be until well into summer!

I had been on the hunt for the perfect pair of winter boots for ages. You may remember my Battle of the Cut Out Boots post that I posted a while ago of some of my favourite boots, I didn't get any in the end but I did get these gorgeous Chelsea boots from Topshop.

The Topshop Month Chelsea Boots are 100% leather and come in at a mere £45 which to me is definitely a bargain. They are super sturdy and have a slight heel on them, which doesn't add much height but I find is more flattering than a completely flat boot. They are extremely comfy due to the soft leather, I don't really think these need wearing in, but with mine if I've done a lot of walking the begin to rub a tiny bit on my big and little toe, nothing too extreme though! Size wise, (I'm a size 4 for reference) they are a little roomy in the actual foot part but where the ankle is they fit perfectly! I'd recommend trying them on if you're unsure if they're going to fit!

The only other thing I'm not too fond of is the 'clip clop clip clop' noise of them. I think this is more of a personal thing, I'm not one to draw attention to myself but these do when walking on a pretty quite road or walking down the bus haha! It isn't as loud as some other shoes and I tend to drown out the noise by turning up the music trough my headphones ha!

Anyway, I'd definitely recommend these boots as they are perfect for the cold weather we're having and they look so classic!

NEW IN: Minimalistic Watch from Born Pretty

I'm usually not one for jewellery as I spend most of my time in school and we are only allowed to wear watches. I had been looking for a new wrist watch for ages, and I was thinking of getting a casio but they are pretty expensive in my opinion! As you can imagine, I was over the moon when Born Pretty offered to send me one of their women's watches. I chose the Dallas Watch as I like the minimalistic look of it, the quality is so nice - especially for the price of £3.69!! Born Pretty have some amazing other wrist watches if you aren't keen on this one! My personal favourite are either the bracelet watches or the LED watches - very cool.

This watch has been getting a lot of wear out of it, and will come in handy when I've got my mock GCSE exams in January (!!) so I can keep my eye on the time without having to look up every 5 mins - anyone else feel like the invigilators are judging you?!?!

Also Born Pretty are offering 10% off Born Pretty using the code:

OLIVIAKC10

So that makes Born Pretty extremely affordable - they sell so much stuff and there is free shipping world wide too!

Thanks for reading!

A/W 2013 Wishlist

 TROUSERS - Topshop / BEANIE - Newlook / CHAIN - h&m / MAC REBEL - Debenhams / BOOTS - Topshop / CARDIGAN - River Island

First of all I want to apologise for not posting in what feels like forever, but I've had a pretty busy week with school and then had to go to a wedding in Banbury at the weekend and then it was my birthday on Monday, so that's why I haven't posted since Friday.

I have seen a few people doing Autumn wishlists so I thought I'd have a little go of doing one too. A definite pattern that has been popping up all over blogs & in shops is tartan: scarves, trousers, jumpers. I have been wanting to try out a pair of Cigarette trousers for so long after seeing a pink pair of Grace & Braver's Blog which I think was over a year ago now! I think the tartan pair are so cute although I'm not sure I could pull them off! Beanies are something that I've always wanted to buy but never have and this year I am going to make myself buy one. They are so useful for keeping your head/ears warm when it's cold and of course, hiding bad/greasy hair days! Next up is the much raved about MAC Lipstick in Rebel, it is a really deep purpley plummy colour and I can imagine it looking great in the autumn/winter months! I spoke about the next item, these boots in my post 'Battle of the Cut Out Boots' and I think I'm defo going to get these. I think they would look really cute with the tartan trousers. This cardigan doesn't really fit in with the rest as it's a light colour whereas the other items are pretty dark but I think this cardi would go with pretty much anything and it looks so comfy & cosy!

What are you lusting over for A/W 2013?

Battle Of The Cut Out Boots

L-R

I have been seeing more and more of these cut out style boots cropping up, whether it be on blogs, in shops, or on actual people. Okay, so the title is a tad dramatic but still, I have no idea which ones to go for! I've been looking for a pair for a while after seeing the Topshop Arabel boots on Lily Melrose's blog a few months ago. I wasn't prepared to pay £70 odd, even though I knew I'd get so much wear out of them and they'd be amazing quality, I just didn't have that kind of money to spend! Since then I've been on the hunt for a cheap-ish pair, and these are my top 3. First up are the TOPSHOP MAJESTIC BOOTS. I like a flat heel so they aren't too clompy so these definitely fit that requirement. I really like these but they just seem too.. plain?! I don't know what it is about them. They are 100% leather and retail for £45 so not bad in my opinion! Next up is another one from Topshop, the TOPSHOP MADAM BOOTS. I first saw these on Lydia from FashionInFlux's blog (which I love) and instantly wanted them! I don't know if they'll be too cut-outy for winter, so they won't keep my feet warm, if you get me? But I still adore them! They're around £38 which again is pretty amazing for Topshop! Next up is a pair from H&M. On the website they say they are online exclusive which I'm pretty annoyed about as I'd like to try them on but still these are soooo pretty! I'm not too sure if they'd be too clompy though? But I do like the buckles on this pair! Again being around the £40 they're definitely a bargain! These are also 100% leather too.

I'm really not sure which pair to get, what do you think?

Callie Rose Accessories

callie rose accessories

How gorgeous are these bracelets? I love the simplicity of them and how they go with everything I decide to throw on. I'm not one for loads and loads of jewellery and will often just keep the same stuff on all the time. Recently I have been alternating between the Make A Wish charm bracelet and the Infinity charm bracelet. I love the little 'MADE WITH LOVE' tag on the Infinity bracelet, it's a really nice touch! These bracelets are really quite dainty and I haven't seen many about in shops, so I'd definitely take a look at the Callie Rose Accessories website where everything is such a bargain! I'm currently lusting over the Wishbone earrings to match the bracelet!

Now that it's back to school time and at my school we have a no jewellery policy (unless you want to do lunch duty.. no thanks!) I'm hoping to hide the Infinity charm bracelet by keeping my blazer sleeves down, and also smuggle in the Make A Wish bracelet by wearing it an an anklet, which I have been doing over the summer and looks so cute!

Have you tried anything from Callie Rose Accessories?

Outfit of the Day: Aztec

smock dress: asos, kate moss for rimmel lipstick in 107: boots, sunglasses: primark
Firstly, I apologise for the dodgey photos, they were the best from a bad bunch! Secondly, how cute is this smock dress?! I really wanted the elephant smock dress from ASOS that the lovely Tor was wearing at the FABB Bloggers Event in Manchester a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not the biggest dress wearer and wasn't too sure if the smock style would suit me. As everyone knows, ASOS have the most amazing sales so I had a look in the sale section for some smock style dresses and I found this little beauty! It was only £15 so I thought I'd give it a whirl and if I didn't like it, it wasn't the end of the world. Luckily, I adore it! I got in from the petite section in a size 4 as most size 6/8 dresses are always too long and make me look shorter than I actually I am, I was a bit worried it would be too small but it isn't at all and it is a bit longer than I hoped but I still love it! It's so comfortable, airy and light; perfect for this hot and humid weather we seem to be having! The photos don't give the dress any justice (again, sorry!) and you can't really see the shape of it unfortunately! Also from ASOS, I bought the Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick in 107, a gorgeous dark pinky berry shade (not very summery - I know) it was also in the sale for only £3.50 which is amazing! Not that they are expensive at full price either! Because the UK is currently experiencing a heatwave I have been wearing these tortoise shell wayfarer type style sunglasses from primark.

Hope you have a fab weekend, thank you for reading!

Outfit of the Day: Levis

vest - h&m, shorts - levis via ebay, belt - h&m, shoes - charles clinkard

So if you live in Britain you will know that it has been so hot recently and for once we are having an actual summer! I hope it stays like this for a while because I don't feel as though I've been able to make the most of the sun whilst being at school. We had sports day on Friday and whilst we were sitting on the field for 2 hours watching the track events, I burnt my arms and legs and have some crazy tan burn lines from where I was sat cross legged, haha. Yesterday I went on a bike ride with my home dogs friends which was great until some insect started attacking us - a negative of the hot weather! Tomorrow I have got a week of work experience which I am quite nervous for but also a bit excited! I am certainly not looking forward to having to wear trousers in this heat, I am wearing my mum's and all of them are flares haha!

Anyway, onto the outfit, I bought these shorts from ebay last year but I didn't get much wear out of them as they were (and still are) bloody huge on me, but I've paired them with a belt so that they will fit round my waist. The vest & sunglasses were featured in my recent haul and I have been wearing them both to death during the hot weather! I blogged about my shoes all the way back in February!! They are from Charles Clinkard and you can read about them here.

I hope you're all enjoying the hot weather!
