Favourite Contouring Brushes ft. Eco Tools, Real Techniques, MAC

Eco Tools Contouring Brush (part of set)
Real Techniques Contour Brush (part of Core Collection)
Unbranded Angled Contour Brush* (part of set)
MAC 168 brush

ECO TOOLS CONTOURING BRUSH - TK Maxx (available here)
I bought this brush in a 4 piece brush set from TK Maxx a while ago, and shared the 4 brushes with my friend because we both wanted them but there was only one pack. It was around £7ish but online it's £17.44, so I'd definitely check out your local TK Maxx if you're looking into buying it! This is essentially just a fat version of the Contour Brush from Real Techniques. It adds more product that the RT version so it easy to go a bit overboard but blends it out so seamlessly and looks so subtle and natural.

REAL TECHNIQUES CONTOURING BRUSH - Boots
Part of the Core Collection, the Contour Brush from Real Techniques is amazing at creating an accurate contour. It is quite dense so it can also pick up a bit too much product (especially with the Sleek Contour Kit) but you just have to have a light hand! That being said, I find this the best brush for using with my Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer because for me that has barely any colour pay off, but with this brush it picks up a good amount! The Core Collection is quite pricey at £20.99 but you also get 3 other great quality brushes! I have a post here all about them!

UNBRANDED ANGLED CONTOUR BRUSH - BangGood
Again, this is just the fat and more dense version of the next brush, the MAC 168. This is also part of a 4 piece brush set from BangGood which I have also done a post on here. This brush is a real multi-tasker, it's great for buffing in foundation and any type of cream product. The angled edge makes it easy to get right under my (non existent) cheek bones and the denseness (is that a word? If not, it is now) really helps to create a strong contour, whilst still buffing it out making it appear seamless.

MAC 168 BRUSH - Selfridges
This brush is a little pricey at almost £30 but it is definitely my favourite brush that I own! It's so delicate and places just the right amount of product on your face. This is definitely one for people, like me, who sometimes forget how much of a light hand they might need! Although mine is dirty, the hairs wash really well and come out white. This is also a multi-tasker for powder products, I use it with my face powder, blush, contour! I really want to find a dupe for this brush as it is so beautiful but pretty pricey!

What are your favourite contour brushes?

Hello lovelies!

I hope you're all well and having a lovely start to the weekend! Today's post is going to be about a new discovery of mine - BangGood.com! Which is a wholesale website based in China. They sell pretty much everything, from electricals to clothes, so they cater for basically everyone! Naturally, I headed over to the beauty section and also the jewellery section!

The first thing I got were the 4 Piece Pure Goat Hair Brush Set, and I must say they are in close competition with my Real Techniques brushes! The bristles are so soft and they wash really nicely, and there hasn't been any shredding of the hair! I love that they have a white tip so you can see when they are clean or not! They are super dense, and I love the angled brush for my foundation at the moment, and it's also amazing at blending in concealer, although I do prefer to use the tapered pointy (?) brush for that! Even though I don't own the Sigma F80 I think that the flat top brush would be a great dupe because it is super dense and great for foundation! The brush set only retails for £13.14 which is amazing for four brushes (£3.29 each!) and I'd highly recommend! Especially if you are looking for some inexpensive brushes that are of good quality too!

The second thing I got was this gorgeous Silver Circle Texture Tersely Bracelet,   which is so simple but so cute too! I'm not a massive jewellery person but I love this bracelet because it isn't over the top or too in-your-face but it just adds a little bit extra to an outfit, and also goes with everything! This bracelet is only £1.25! But it doesn't feel like it's cheap at all - it's quite weighty which makes it feel a lot more expensive that it is! I love this bracelet so much, and I think I may get the gold one!

The last thing I got was this gorgeous Collar Necklace. I've seen a few of these floating around in New Look, Topshop and Asos but seeing as the one from BangGood is only £2.50 how could anyone pass that up?! Like I said, I'm not much of a jewellery fan but this is such a statement necklace and I think it will look lovely paired with a plain t-shirt to jazz up the outfit a bit! I can't wait to wear this Collar Necklace in summer and I think it will soon be making it into my summer fashion staples!

Despite BangGood being based in China, there is free shipping and also the products arrive quite quickly, it only took 2 weeks for mine to arrive which is very impressive seeing as I have ordered things for eBay which have been from China and it has taken over a month to arrive! I don't think I can rave about this website and it's products enough! I think my favourite product out of the things I have received would be the Brush Set! The brushes are just such good quality!

Have you tried anything from BangGood?

Thank you for reading, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

real techniques rave

hey lovelies!

I know most of you already know how amazing the real techniques core collection brushes are and everyone is probably sick of hearing about them, but i got them back in the summer and never did a blogpost on them when i wish i had, as i see people umming and arring about getting these and they are, for me, the best thing i have ever bought that has been make up related and under £25! many of you beauty bloggers will be thinking 'who on earth is she talking about? everyone knows about these brushes! is she still living in 2011?' well, i know literally every beauty blogger and their dog knows about these brushes, but if you are new to the blogging world then i am informing you that these are literally the best brushes you could buy - regarding quality and value for money!

as you can see, they come in a cute little pouch which can be stood up or just used as a pouch which is perfect or traveling, there is also room for more of your brushes which is also handy! I tend to just put them in a pot with all of my other brushes! The core collection contains 4 brushes: the buffing brush, the contour brush, the pointed foundation brush and the detailer brush. They are so dense, and many can be used for a lot of different which is also really helpful! for example, the buffing brush can be used for mineral/liquid/cream foundation; buffing blush/bronzer; applying bronzer; cream products; highlighter and so much more! the contour brush can be used for contouring (contour&highlight) with liquid/cream/powder products. The detailer brush can be used as a concealer or lip brush! and i also find it works well as an eyeliner brush when using eyeshadows as eyeliner! I find the pointed foundation brush is good for foundation but also amazing for applying highlighter on the cheekbones and brow bone!

So that is all from me, have you tried the real techniques brushes?
