Bang Good Haul

Blush Palette - £4.82*
Eye/Lip Liners - £3.31*
24pc Brush Set - £10.81*
All from BangGood.com

Hello everyone! Today I have a small haul for you consisting only of products from BangGood.com. If you haven't heard of BangGood.com it is a wholesalers website based in China. I did a post on them back in July (here) and I absolutely loved the products, so when they got in touch with me again and asked if I'd like to try out some more, I was over the moon!

The first thing I received is this Blush Palette with 10 blush shades in it. When it first arrived I was worried that it might have smashed in transit but luckily it hadn't! The packaging is very sleek but also sturdy which is a bonus as it doesn't feel cheap, despite being unbranded and only £4.82! The blushes themselves are really good quality and there is a range of different colours in the palette; from oranges to baby pinks to fuchsias. The picture doesn't quite give the shades justice as it's not picking up the vibrancy of some of the colours! The majority of the shades are shimmery but there are a couple of matte shades, both kinds are so pigmented and you have to have a very light hand when applying (I learnt this the hard way). I'm not really a blush kinda girl but I've really been loving all the colours in this Blush Palette recently. If you want to experiment with blusher, like me, then this Palette would be great as it doesn't break the bank and has a wide range of colours to use.

The next thing I received is a set of Eye & Lip Liner Pencils. They are from the brand Me Now which I've never heard of before but if the quality of their liners is anything to go by, I think I shall like them! I don't own many lip liners so this product is great for me! There is such a range of different colours within the pack. I would say there are more lip liners than eye liners because in the pack of 12 there is a black and a brown and the rest are pinky/red/orangey type shades which I would be more inclined to use on my lips rather than my eyes. The Liners are so creamy and very pigmented. I would recommend putting a balm on underneath the lip liner so it blends a bit better. My only concern about these are that the colours on the end of the pencil are a bit deceiving; I thought a dark red was a black but I got quite the shock when it came out quite bright on my eye lid! Now that I am more familiar with the colours, this hasn't happened since! This pack of 12 Eye/Lip Liners retails for £3.31 which is less than 28p per pencil!

The final, and probably my favourite thing that I received is this 24 pc Brush Set. It comes with a pink, leather look brush wrap/holder and as you can see the brushes are individually wrapped in plastic so that they didn't get damaged whilst being delivered. All the brushes are synthetic and have a cute pink handle and pink hairs. I'm not a massive fan of pink but I do like a bit here. If pink isn't for you then they have ones with black or brown handles/hairs. All the brushes haven't been shown in the pictures, but my favourite one (not pictured) is a mini version of the big fan brush; it's not very dense so it never puts too much product on to your face! The 24pc Brush Set is £10.81, which is amazing value per brush.

Overall, I am very pleased with these products! I would definitely recommend BangGood.com if you ever looking to buy.. er.. anything really; their stock varies from gardening to electronics to clothes! Despite being based in China, the shipping is free and mine arrived within a week!

Have you tried anything from BangGood.com?

Bubb & Dimples Nourishing Body Balm

Bubb & Dimples Nourishing Body Balm*
Bubb, Yum Yum & Dimples is a brand I've never come across before, but after dipping my toe into the Bubb & Dimples water, I want to buy the whole range! Bubb & Dimples is a completely natural brand and all the products are handmade in the UK. For me, this is great as I hate the thought of putting harsh chemicals and all sorts onto my face. Bubb & Dimples stock a range of luxury products: from body wash to candles. All products are suitable to be used all over the body as they all contain shea butter and soy, another thing which is right up by street as I have sensitive and quite dry skin as I suffer from eczema on my elbows and knees.
Onto the actual product, The Nourishing Body Balm comes with a muslin cloth, and although it is a 'body' balm and works great on the body, I actually prefer to use it on my face. Recently I have been trying to get my skin back in order and using a new spot treatment and it appears to be drying my skin out a bit and this is so moisturising so it is great for injecting a bit of moisture back into my skin. As you can see from the pictures above it is a thick balm but when massaged between your fingers it turns into an oil, I like to apply it to my face and massage it in with my fingers and then go in with the muslin cloth. I have been using this once daily for a while now and it makes my skin feel so much smoother!
I have combination skin and this works great for me, and I think it would work even better for dry skins as it makes your skin feel really hydrated and moisturised after using it, however I'm not too sure how well it would work on oily skin, it didn't make my skin any oiler/break out but that's just my skin!  Overall I'd definitely recommend The Nourishing Body Balm to those who get drier patches! And if you don't then you should definitely check out the Bubb & Dimples range.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!

Review: Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Pencil

Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Pencil* - £8

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a review of the Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Pencil! I have seen so many of these types of lipstick/pencil/chubby stick/balm stain things all over the place, but this is the first one I've tried. And also the first product from Lord & Berry. Although I had heard of the brand (from hours of browsing the beauty section on ASOS) I had never tried anything from there, so I was a bit apprehensive about the quality, but I must say it's amazing! I really want to try some other products from Lord & Berry because it's relatively affordable and really good quality!

I have the 20100 Lipstick Pencil in Naturelle, which is a browny-nude natural lip colour! It is very much a your-lips-but-better colour, which is great for when you want something on your lips but you don't want to go all out with a bright colour! The application is amazing; it glides on smoothly and is so moisturising, almost like a balm! My lips tend to get quite dry so this is amazing for it! It lasts a while on the lips, although it can come off when eating/drinking, but it is easy to reapply and can be applied without a mirror, which is great for on the go touch ups!

Overall I love it! My sister likes it too - a bit too much though because she keeps using mine! The Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Pencil comes in a variety of shades: from nudes to a shocking red. There are also a few orangey shades which I really want to try!

Have you tried anything from Lord & Berry? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for reading!

Review: bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer

bareMinerals Prime Time Neutralising Foundation Primer* - £17

Hey guys!

I hope you're all having a good start to the week and not suffering too much from the Monday Morning Blues. I'm going to London with my school on Thursday and I'm quite excited (mainly for the coach journey though - I'm not so excited for the filling in of various worksheets, when I could be visiting Victoria's Secret!) but today has gone so painfully slow! Today I have a review on the bareMinerals Prime Time Neutralising Foundation Primer. What do bareMinerals say about this primer?

"Create a silky, smooth canvas for a flawless foundation application with Prime TimeTM Neutralizing Foundation Primer. With its color-correcting yellow base and light-reflective pigments, this innovative foundation primer immediately neutralizes the appearance of discoloration, uneven skin tone and redness for brighter, younger-looking skin. Our mineral-infused formula glides on seamlessly, combatting flaky dryness, rough patches and uneven skin texture.

I totally agree. This primer is supposed to neutralise skin tones with its yellow colour correcting base, which looks quite scary when you first see it, but when it is massaged into the skin it looks just like your skin - but better. Although the swatch of it blended in on my hand is the best example, it definitely gets rid of my redness and discolouration which I don't have too much of and I only wish that I had this product when I had eczema on my face! It completely smooths out my skin ready for foundation, and actually does completely glide over all of my dry patches! It also doesn't break me out which is good! You really don't need much of it either, the amount I have on my hand in the picture above is more than enough to cover my whole face, so you really get what you pay for!

It also makes my foundation last a good while, longer than without a primer! It has come in especially helpful with the weather warming up, it stops my make up from melting off my face, and I rarely need to touch up throughout the day! On no makeup makeup days I have been using this on it's own with concealer just to even out my skin tone and it gives a really nice, natural finish, perfect for summer!

Although it's not a problem for me, the downside that people could find with the Prime Time Foundation Primer is the smell. It's similar to the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation smell, although the Prime Time Primer isn't as strong and it's more pleasant, but I know some people aren't fond of that smell, or fragranced products in general, but it doesn't bother me at all and I actually quite like it because once you put it on it's not detectable on the skin at all!

Overall, I love this primer and although I have only tried one other (Gosh Velvet Touch Primer) the Prime Time Primer is pretty much holy grail!

Have you tried this primer? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!

BangGood Wholesalers!

collar necklace - £2.50*
bracelet - £1.25*
 4 piece brush set - £13.14*

4 piece brush set*

silver circle texture tersely bracelet*

collar necklace*
Hello lovelies!

I hope you're all well and having a lovely start to the weekend! Today's post is going to be about a new discovery of mine - BangGood.com! Which is a wholesale website based in China. They sell pretty much everything, from electricals to clothes, so they cater for basically everyone! Naturally, I headed over to the beauty section and also the jewellery section!

The first thing I got were the 4 Piece Pure Goat Hair Brush Set, and I must say they are in close competition with my Real Techniques brushes! The bristles are so soft and they wash really nicely, and there hasn't been any shredding of the hair! I love that they have a white tip so you can see when they are clean or not! They are super dense, and I love the angled brush for my foundation at the moment, and it's also amazing at blending in concealer, although I do prefer to use the tapered pointy (?) brush for that! Even though I don't own the Sigma F80 I think that the flat top brush would be a great dupe because it is super dense and great for foundation! The brush set only retails for £13.14 which is amazing for four brushes (£3.29 each!) and I'd highly recommend! Especially if you are looking for some inexpensive brushes that are of good quality too!

The second thing I got was this gorgeous Silver Circle Texture Tersely Bracelet,   which is so simple but so cute too! I'm not a massive jewellery person but I love this bracelet because it isn't over the top or too in-your-face but it just adds a little bit extra to an outfit, and also goes with everything! This bracelet is only £1.25! But it doesn't feel like it's cheap at all - it's quite weighty which makes it feel a lot more expensive that it is! I love this bracelet so much, and I think I may get the gold one!

The last thing I got was this gorgeous Collar Necklace. I've seen a few of these floating around in New Look, Topshop and Asos but seeing as the one from BangGood is only £2.50 how could anyone pass that up?! Like I said, I'm not much of a jewellery fan but this is such a statement necklace and I think it will look lovely paired with a plain t-shirt to jazz up the outfit a bit! I can't wait to wear this Collar Necklace in summer and I think it will soon be making it into my summer fashion staples!

Despite BangGood being based in China, there is free shipping and also the products arrive quite quickly, it only took 2 weeks for mine to arrive which is very impressive seeing as I have ordered things for eBay which have been from China and it has taken over a month to arrive! I don't think I can rave about this website and it's products enough! I think my favourite product out of the things I have received would be the Brush Set! The brushes are just such good quality!

Have you tried anything from BangGood?

Thank you for reading, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

favourite flats from barratts

hey guys!

hope you're all well and  having a fab weekend so far! today i thought i'd share a new favourite fashion piece with you all! now, i'm not sure if this is just me but i always think that winter means boots and cosy clothes, and spring and summer mean flats and cute sandals with shorts and dresses. not sure why haha. if you live in the UK, especially manchester, you will know it hasn't been the best spring we have ever seen - snow one day then sun the next (?!). but, i'm being prepared and i've already found the shoes i know i'm going to be wearing to death this spring summer!

if you can excuse my awful legs/feet and feast your eyes on these gorgeous brown leather-look flats are from barratts* and are so comfy! these are great for casual outfits, which is what i've been wearing them with (when we've had good weather). they can be worn with literally anything; from high waisted jeans to a summer dress! they are very minimalistic and i think i may have to get them in black as well, being such good quality and only 15 a pop from barratts (and i think they may be in the sale!) it's an absolute steal!

so that is the end of my little rave - be prepared to see these in a lot of outfit posts when the weather gets warmer!

thank you for reading, and i would love to know what your staple shoe is at the mo!
